On May 18, Zhou Hongwen, Deputy Party Secretary, Director, and General Manager of Shandong Hi-Speed Group, led a delegation to visit COSCO SHIPPING (Hong Kong). The delegation held talks with Qian Weizhong, chairperson of COSCO SHIPPING (Hong Kong), and Zhu Changyu, President of the company.

Qian Weizhong shared an overview of China COSCO SHIPPING Corporation's business layout in Hong Kong, long with COSCO SHIPPING (Hong Kong)'s recent performance and its ongoing planning for the 15th Five-Year Plan. He noted that Shandong Hi-Speed Group has achieved rapid development in recent years, with its brand influence continuing to expand. The two sides have built a solid foundation for cooperation and achieved fruitful results on projects such as Qilu Expressway. He expressed hope for further strengthening strategic alignment, leveraging complementary strengths in resources, and deepening communications in areas such as green and low-carbon development, smart digitalisation, and industrial capital investment. By enhancing collaboration and empowering each other, both sides can work together to achieve high-quality development.

Zhou Hongwen outlined Shandong Hi-Speed Group's recent business layout and achievements in reform and development. He stated that the Group places great importance on its strategic cooperation with COSCO SHIPPING (Hong Kong), and that the two sides share a strong cooperative foundation and well-aligned goals. Noting that the transportation and logistics industry is accelerating its transformation toward green and smart solutions, he called for deeper communication and joint exploration of new cooperation pathways in areas such as new energy investment, technological innovation, and overseas business expansion. By expanding synergies, the two sides can make greater contributions to building China into a country with strong transportation network.

The meeting was also attended by Wang Wenbo, Chief Expert and Director of the Investment and Development Department of Shandong Hi-Speed Group; Fu Baixian, Chief Expert and Chairperson of Shandong Hi-Speed Company; representatives from the General Office, International Business Department, Shandong Hi-Speed Holdings, and Qilu Expressway; and representatives from the Capital & Investment Operation Division and Operations Management Division of COSCO SHIPPING (Hong Kong).
