Recently, in the 2025/26 “Manpower Developer Award Scheme” organised by the Employees Retraining Board (ERB) of Hong Kong, COSCO SHIPPING International (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd. was awarded the “Manpower Developer” title for the first time.

The ERB is a statutory body in Hong Kong dedicated to providing skills training and employment support for eligible local employees. The ERB Manpower Developer Award Scheme, launched in 2009, aims to recognise organisations that demonstrate excellence in talent training and development, and to promote a corporate culture and philosophy of talent cultivation, thereby enhancing the overall quality of Hong Kong’s human resources.

The rigorous selection mechanism and high credibility have together established the authoritative reputation of this award. The ERB appoints the Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency as an independent technical consultant to conduct comprehensive assessments of applicant organisations according to the evaluation framework. Only those institutions that successfully pass the final‑stage on‑site assessment can stand out in this highly competitive award process.
