The Chairperson of Tianjin Port Group Chu Bin and his delegation visited COSCO SHIPPING (Hong Kong)

On December 9, Chairperson Chu Bin of Tianjin Port Group and his delegation visited COSCO SHIPPING (Hong Kong), where they held discussions with Chairperson Qian Weizhong and President Zhu Changyu of COSCO SHIPPING (Hong Kong).

Chu Bin provided a detailed overview of Tianjin Port’s role as a key strategic hub for connecting domestic and international dual circulation in Northern China, along with the significant achievements in developing a smarter, greener, and upgraded hub port. He stated that Tianjin Port Group has a solid foundation for cooperation with COSCO SHIPPING (Hong Kong) and hoped to further strengthen collaboration in areas such as ship services, green energy, technological innovation, and industrial investment. He emphasised expanding the synergy in port and shipping business, creating new models of cooperation, and jointly contributing to the economic development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, as well as supporting national strategies of building a strong transportation and maritime nation.

Qian Weizhong warmly welcomed Chu Bin and his delegation and congratulated Tianjin Port Group on its five significant achievements this year. He stated that Tianjin Port is an important modern comprehensive port in China, and its innovative practices in building a world-class smart green hub port are worth learning from. Underlining the consistent close cooperation between COSCO SHIPPING (Hong Kong) and Tianjin Port Group, he expressed hope for the two companies to enhance information connectivity, leverage each other’s strengths, consolidate cooperation results, and elevate collaboration to higher levels and deeper fields, achieving mutual promotion and win-win development in port and shipping, thereby establishing a new model of port and shipping cooperation.

Tianjin Port Vice President Group Luo Xunjie, personnel from relevant departments and companies, the meeting, COSCO SHIPPING (Hong Kong) Chief Accountant Wang Yong, Assistant to President Jia Guangchao and Yu Lei, and relevant personnel from the Operations Management Division also participated in the meeting.
