On November 20, Zhao Yan, President of China Classification Society (CCS) led a delegation to visit COSCO SHIPPING (Hong Kong), where they held discussions with Chairperson Qian Weizhong and President Zhu Changyu of COSCO SHIPPING (Hong Kong).

Qian Weizhong extended a warm welcome to Zhao Yan and his delegation, expressing gratitude for the long-standing and substantial support from CCS. He provided a detailed overview of COSCO SHIPPING (Hong Kong)'s history, industrial layout, and development plans. He stated that, in accordance with the group's deployment, COSCO SHIPPING (Hong Kong) is focusing on the two major tracks of "digital intelligence" and "green and low-carbon," accelerating the cultivation of new quality productive forces in shipping services. Building on years of successful cooperation, he expressed anticipation for further deepening and diversifying collaboration with CCS in areas such as green new energy for ships, digital and intelligent upgrades, and full lifecycle ship services, strengthening industrial chain synergy and achieving new, high-quality transformation and development.

Zhao Yan shared the latest progress made by CCS in the application of green alternative fuels, the development of intelligent ships, and research on international maritime standards. He noted that CCS and COSCO SHIPPING (Hong Kong) have long maintained an excellent cooperative relationship. Looking forward, CCS will further leverage its technical advantages and global network resources to provide customised, high-efficiency technical support and service guarantees for COSCO SHIPPING (Hong Kong), assisting its innovative breakthroughs in strategic emerging industries and jointly achieving high-quality development.

Both sides also engaged in in-depth discussions regarding future cooperation related to the group's Hainan Regional Headquarters.
