On December 16, the launch and demonstration event for the Ship Full Lifecycle (Spare Parts) Intelligent Management Solution, jointly developed by COSCO SHIPPING (Hong Kong), Hainan Harbor & Shipping Holding, and COSCO SHIPPING Technology, along with its demonstration application on the "Haitang Bay" Ferry, was held in Haikou.

As a concrete achievement of COSCO SHIPPING 's efforts to advance the integrated "Cargo-Ship-Personnel" platform and cultivate new quality productive forces, this solution transforms traditional spare parts management, which relied heavily on manual experience, into a modern supply chain system driven by data, intelligent decision-making, and visual control. It aims to build independent, controllable, and technologically advanced digital spare parts supply chain capabilities for Chinese shipowners.

Centred on the core concept of "digital-physical integration," the newly launched intelligent management solution achieves breakthrough implementation across 16 core business scenarios. It establishes an integrated digital management system covering the full lifecycle of spare parts, driving a fundamental shift in the shipping industry from "experience-driven" to "data-driven and intelligent decision-making," providing critical support for the industry to develop independent, controllable, and technologically leading digital spare parts supply chains.

The practical effectiveness of this solution has been fully validated through demonstration vessels. Operational data from the "Haitang Bay" Ferry shows a qualitative leap in various operational efficiencies after system implementation: the time for ship requisition operations was reduced from 90 minutes to 15 minutes, and the process for scanning codes, signing, and warehousing was shortened from 35 minutes to 6 minutes. Leveraging handheld terminal group-scanning technology, the inventory cycle for a strait ferry was drastically reduced from 7 days to just 1 hour, while the inventory time for other ship types was significantly shortened from 30 days to 2 hours.

During the event, COSCO SHIPPING Green Digital Intelligence Ship Services signed strategic cooperation agreements with Hainan Zhengsheng Shipping Holding and Shanghai Guoyuan Luneng Shipping Technology, marking the official entry of this solution into the phase of market promotion and deep customisation.
