COSCO SHIPPING (Hong Kong) Visited China Shipowners' Association

On April 1, Chairman Qian Weizhong and President Zhu Changyu of COSCO SHIPPING (Hong Kong) led a delegation to visit the China Shipowners' Association (CSA) and held discussions with Executive Vice President Liu Shanghai.

Liu Shanghai warmly welcomed the delegation, introduced the association's recent achievements and future development plans, and noted that the shipping industry is currently undergoing a critical transformation and upgrade period. He emphasised that the CSA is committed to fostering development in the industry and advancing shipping progress and expressed a desire to strengthen communication with COSCO SHIPPING (Hong Kong) and expand cooperation in areas such as shipping digitisation and greening to drive collaborative innovation, achieve complementary advantages and win-win development, so as to contribute more to the high-quality development in the shipping sector.

Qian Weizhong expressed gratitude for the long-term support and assistance from the CSA and highlighted that COSCO SHIPPING (Hong Kong) is aligning with new trends in shipping development, focusing on the strategic emerging fields of green low-carbon and digital intelligence to cultivate new productive forces. He noted that the CSA is the most influential organisation in the industry and expressed hope to leverage the association's platform resources to promote COSCO SHIPPING (Hong Kong)'s green and digital service products, empowering more shipping companies and deepening cooperation in areas like industrial synergy, technological innovation, and green energy, contributing positively to the construction of a strong transportation and maritime nation.

Zhu Changyu introduced the development of COSCO SHIPPING (Hong Kong)'s full lifecycle intelligent ship service platform and expressed a desire to enhance communication with the CSA to deepen the scope and depth of cooperation. He aims to work together with industry partners through the association's professional platform to support the digital and green transformation of shipping.

Zhang Aiguo, Secretary-General of the China Shipowners' Association, Deputy Secretary-General Qin Huanfu, heads of relevant functional departments, as well as representatives from the Operations Management Division of COSCO SHIPPING (Hong Kong) and personnel from COSCO SHIPPING Green Digital Intelligent Ship Services.
