On June 9, Qian Weizhong, Chairman of COSCO SHIPPING (Hong Kong), and Zhu Changyu, CEO, led a delegation to visit Haikou and held a meeting with Ding Hui, Mayor of Haikou.

Ding Hui extended a warm welcome to Qian Weizhong and his delegation, fully affirming COSCO SHIPPING's investment and development achievements in Haikou. He introduced Haikou's economic growth, regional advantages, urban infrastructure, and policy support. Qian Weizhong expressed gratitude to the Haikou Municipal Government for its long-term support and assistance to COSCO SHIPPING (Hong Kong)'s development in Hainan. He introduced COSCO SHIPPING Group's business layout in Hong Kong and the industrial development of COSCO SHIPPING (Hong Kong). He stated that Hainan is a strategic region for COSCO SHIPPING Group's key布局, and Haikou, as the political, economic, and cultural center of Hainan Province, bears the responsibility of building a core leading zone for the Hainan Free Trade Port.
