On January 25, Chairperson Yang Yufeng of Jilin Electric Power Co., Limited, and his delegation visited COSCO SHIPPING (Hong Kong) and held discussions with Chairperson Qian Weizhong and President Zhu Changyu.

Qian Weizhong warmly welcomed Yang Yufeng and his delegation, introducing the production and operation situation of COSCO SHIPPING (Hong Kong). He stated that according to the strategic new positioning assigned by the COSCO SHIPPING Group, COSCO SHIPPING (Hong Kong) is focusing on high-quality innovative development, vigorously engaging in the promotion of green low-carbon transformation and actively layout of areas related to green new energy for ships, including investment, production and refueling. Currently, the cooperation on the green methanol project is progressing rapidly under the support and guidance of both groups. He expressed hope for further improvement of the cooperation mechanism, strengthening synergy and collaboration, advancing the project to start early, produces early and achieves results early, and empowering the new development of green shipping, aiming to establish a new benchmark for green industry cooperation.

Yang Yufeng highlighted the current status and future strategic layout of Jilin Electric Power Co., Limited, as a core carrier of hydrogen-based energy under the State Power Investment Corporation Limited in the field of green industry. He stated that Jilin Electric Power Co., Limited is committed to the "dual carbon" goals, closely following the trends of “decarbonization, decentralization, and digitalization” in the energy sector, and is determined to lead the green energy industry. He noted that both parties have highly aligned development philosophies and complementary resource advantages. He looked forward to further enhancing communication and collaboration, accelerating the implementation of the green methanol cooperation project, and actively exploring practical cooperation opportunities in other fields to achieve mutual development through win-win outcome.
