COSCO SHIPPING (Hong Kong) visited Hebei Provincial Department of Transportation

On May 5, Qian Weizhong, Chairman of COSCO SHIPPING (Hong Kong), and his delegation visited Hebei Provincial Department of Transportation and exchanged with Zhao Tongan, deputy director of the Hebei Provincial Department of Transportation.

Zhao Tongan extended his welcome to Qian Weizhong and his delegation and gave an introduction of the development plan of Hebei's transportation industry. He expressed appreciation for the contributions that COSCO SHIPPING (Hong Kong) has made to the development of Hebei's transportation industry. He pointed out that the Beijing-Shijiazhuang Expressway operated by COSCO SHIPPING (Hong Kong) is an important part of the national expressway network, but also the most important north-south trunk line in the Hebei expressway network. Beijing-Shijiazhuang Expressway is an important channel connecting Beijing and Hebei which connects the Northeast China.

Qian Weizhong introduced the development history, businesses, construction of “two platforms” and highway operations of COSCO SHIPPING (Hong Kong). He said that Beijing-Shijiazhuang Expressway has always adhered to the development concept of "green, intelligent, coordinated and efficient" and is committed to building a "resource-saving, environment-friendly" expressway. He also told Zhao Tongan that COSCO SHIPPING (Hong Kong) is currently focusing on the development of green, low-carbon and smart shipping, and that the two companies should further explore joint cooperations.

Huang Long and Dong Xuebo, external directors of COSCO SHIPPING (Hong Kong), and relevant persons of the President Office, Strategic Development Department, and Operations Department have also participated.
