On May 29, Liu Shanghai, deputy leader of the re-election leadership group of the China Shipowners Association, and his delegation visited COSCO SHIPPING (Hong Kong) and had exchanges and talks with Qian Weizhong, Chairman of SHIPPING (Hong Kong).

Qian Weizhong welcomed the visit of Liu Shanghai and his delegation, and introduced the development of COSCO SHIPPING (Hong Kong) in recent years. He said that currently, COSCO SHIPPING (Hong Kong) is following the new development positioning given by the group, focusing on intelligent digital ship services, overseas industrial capital investment, green shipping fuel production and filling, etc., actively cultivating strategic emerging industries, and promoting the development of new productivity. As one of the most influential organizations in the industry, the China Shipowners Association has a good foundation for cooperation. We hope to further deepen exchanges in the future and leverage the advantages of the China Shipowners Association’s professional platform to share data, market information, technological innovation and product brand promotion. There will be more cooperation to jointly promote the new development of smart shipping and green shipping.

Liu Shanghai thanked COSCO SHIPPING (Hong Kong) for its long-term support to the association's work, and introduced the recent key tasks and next-stage work plan of the China Shipowners Association. He said that as an industry organization, the core of the China Shipowners Association is to serve as a bridge between the government and enterprises, gather industry forces, integrate industry resources, and promote industry development. Currently, the association is further focusing on the development goals of digital and intelligent transformation of shipping, striving to provide professional, efficient, high-quality and reliable guarantees and services for shipping companies, and to play the role of the association. We hope to continue to strengthen communication and in-depth cooperation with COSCO SHIPPING (Hong Kong) to contribute to promoting the digital and green transformation of shipping.
