COSCO SHIPPING (Hong Kong) visits Shandong Port Group

On April 24, Qian Weizhong, Chairman of COSCO SHIPPING (Hong Kong) and his delegation visited Shandong Port Group and exchanged with Huo Gaoyuan, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Shandong Port Group.

Huo Gaoyuan extended a warm welcome to Qian Weizhong and his delegation, and introduced the operation and development of Shandong Port. Huo said that Shandong Port and COSCO SHIPPING Group are closely connected and have maintained deep collaboration. He expressed his views that the competitiveness of COSCO SHIPPING (Hong Kong) has been strengthening with expanding its business scope and exploring into green and digital shipping. While Shandong Port is accelerating the development of world-class port clusters, he believes the two parties share the same vision and should seek further cooperation.

Qian Weizhong briefly introduced the background of COSCO SHIPPING (Hong Kong) and expressed his respects regarding the achievements of Shandong Port.  Qian Weizhong shared the business strategy of COSCO SHIPPING (Hong Kong) to focus on building "intelligent digital ship service platform" and the "overseas industrial capital investment platform" that aligning the vision of COSCO SHIPPING Group to build a "world-class shipping technology enterprise". He also expressed the desire of more in-depth collaboration between COSCO SHIPPING (Hong Kong) and Shandong Port to achieve mutual success.

During the visit, Qian Weizhong and his delegation visited the Shandong Port Exhibition Hall, Qingdao Port Automated Terminal, etc., and learned in detail about the development of ports in Shandong Province.

Jia Funing, deputy general manager of Shandong Port Group, Liu Jin, assistant general manager and party committee secretary and chairman of Shandong Port Trading Group, relevant persons in charge of Shandong Port Group Office, Shandong Port Equipment Group, Qingdao Port, Shandong Port Shipping Group, Vice President of COSCO Shipping Hong Kong Chen Hui, relevant persons in charge of the Operation Department, President's Office, COSCO Jordan, COSCO Kansai, and COSCO Dachang joined the visit.
