On 3rd August, Xu Lirong, Chairman and Secretary of the Leading Party Members’ Group of COSCO SHIPPING Group, met with Mr. Wang Zhimin, the Director of Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the HKSAR.

Mr. Xu Lirong expressed his appreciation for the long-term support from the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government and promised that COSCO SHIPPING Group will make further progress on taking advantages on and participate in the construction of international shipping center in Hong Kong, make contribution to the region’s economy and society. Mr. Wang Zhimin extended his congratulations for the Group’s successful acquisition of OOCL with Shanghai International Ports Group. Also, he expected COSCO SHIPPING Group will play a greater role in the construction of Greater Bay Area going forward, and gave his wishes to the Group’s further success in Hong Kong.

Vice Director Mr. Qiu Hong, and Deputy Minister of Economic Mr. Lei Haiqiu s of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government as well as the managements of COSCO SHIPPING Hong Kong and COSCO SHIPPING Holdings also participated in the meeting.
