2014年01月20日

On 19th January 2014, COSCO International, in cooperation with WWF-Hong Kong, organised “Mai Po Nature Reserve Guide Tour” for its employees. A total of 23 employees and their families visited Mai Po Inner Deep Bay Ramsar Site, which is located in the Yuen Long basin in the northwestern New Territories of Hong Kong. Led by WWF-Hong Kong’s guide, all participants enjoyed the sightseeing of mangroves and many rare migrant birds, including the endangered Black-faced Spoonbill (Platalea Minor), whose population in the world is only 2,700, and learned the importance of conserving the precious natural resources.

As the Silver Member of WWF-Hong Kong, COSCO International has always attached great importance to its social responsibility to environment. For years, the Company has cooperated with different green organisations to hold various environmental education and charity activities, aimed at strengthening employees’ environmental awareness and fostering the corporate culture that upholds environmental protection and treasures natural resources.
